Reflection on Conscience
Well I do agree with Huck. Because it’s true whether you do something right or wrong your conscience interferes with it. Like if you’re about to do something bad you know its bad but you really want to do it. And your conscience is telling you hey you’re going to have consequences with this. So you think hey I might not want to do this. And when you do something good your conscience interferes because your thinking hey am I going to have a consequence by doing this or that. So either way your conscience interferes with the decisions you make.
One example is when he helped tom fight off the bad guy. Even though he said he didn’t have any friends he helped tom. Because he knew if tom was to get killed or hurt really badly he would have a guilty conscience and he would feel very bad. Because he could of helped him. And he knew that if he was in trouble tom would help him because tom was his friend. Another example from the book is when he put the money back he took. He knew that it would really upset the family and Mary Jane and it would cause more problems so he did the right thing by putting it back. And one last example from the book is how he’s going to save Jim. Even though Jim is slave Huck knows it’s the right thing to do because Jim is his friend. And Jim would do the same for him. So he’s risking everything to save him. Huck is a really good person even though he does bad things sometimes he also does a lot of good.
Well this was like in February of this year and I was going through a lot of stuff. And the main thing that triggered it was my sister’s death. I wanted to just end my life because I was in so much pain. And it seemed like nothing could help me. I was so stressed out and I didn’t know what else to do. But I didn’t do it I couldn’t because I thought about how my parents would feel my friends and my family they would be so hurt. And I thought what my sister would think. And I thought about it a little myself. If I would have did it I would have been taking the coward way out. And I knew that I wasn’t a coward so even though it was hard I got through it and im steal dealing with it. Because I know im strong person and I know my family and friends are there for me so im not alone.

Huck Finn Response (Ch. 13 - Ch. 17)
Intro paragraph: In Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck, the protagonist, Huck, is greatly influenced by four people: Widow Douglas, Tom Sawyer, Pap, and Jim.Body
Paragraph 1: WIDOW DOUGLAS
Widow Douglas influences Huck directly because she wants him to be civilized. By this I mean she wants him to do that right thing. And actually act like a normal kid. She wanted him to wear the right clothes, not to smoke, basically be perfect. But Huck didn’t want to because he’s so used to his old ways. Widow Douglas Influences Huck indirectly by putting a lot of right things in his mind. Well Huck ran away one day cause he couldn’t take anymore of Widow Douglas but he came back because he knew it was the right thing to do. “Take your hands away, Huckleberry- what a mess you’re always making. Pg12”
Body Paragraph 2: TOM SAWYER
Tom Sawyer influences Huck directly to be good as well as he does bad. By this I mean sometimes he tells him to the right thing. And other times he tells him to do the wrong things. Like when he wanted to start a gang when Huck ran away. He told Huck to go back home and be good and respectful. But this was kind of good kind of bad. It was good because Huck went home and Widow Douglas no longer had to worry. It was bad because Tom and Huck were starting a gang. Tom influences Huck indirectly by giving him good advice. By this I mean Tom tells Huck the right thing to do and when Huck has a problem he will remember what Tom told him. “ Go back home and be respectful an you can join the gang pg.1
Body Paragraph 3: PAP
Pap didn’t really influence Huck because he wasn’t really there for him. He only was around when he had liquor. An he only came back for Huck because he found out Huck had a lot of money. And when he found out Huck didn’t have the money anymore he became very angry. So Pap was a bad influence on Huck directly and indirectly. The only thing he was good for was influencing Huck to do bad things which isn’t right. “Say-how much money you got in your pocket ? I want it pg.16”
Body Paragraph 4: JIM
Jim influenced Huck to be a good friend an to help others other than himself. Also he taught him to believe in what’s right. And to go for what you truly believe in. But he influenced him directly when he taught him about good and bad luck. If you do good then good will happen. If you do bad then bad will happen. “ your going to have considerable trouble in your life and considerable joy pg 13”
Conclusion Paragraph: Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.

Huck Finn Response (Ch. 1 - Ch. 12)
Paragraph 1:
Well Huck and Tom found a large some of money. Huck has been adopted by widow Douglas. Shes been trying to teach him manners and how to be proper but he doesn't really like that. Huck's dad comes visit him. But only cause he wants his money. But Huck already gave the judge all his money. And his dad gets mad and tells him to get it back. But he cant get it back. So Huck's dad kidnaps him. But Huck decides to fake his own death. Huck goes to this island. And he discovers Jim is also living on the island. Huck and Jim find a house. And inside the house is a dead guy. And Huck and Jim take clothes from the house.
Paragraph 2:
Well i think the book is very interesting. And it leaves me wondering whats going to happen next. Its kind of similar to Of Mice & Men. Because they both have to do with doing the right thing. But i kind of like Of Mice & Men better. Some parts i dislike are the boring parts they make me want to just stop reading the book. But the parts i like are the good and interesting parts because they make me want to read the book.
